Joseph "Joe" Miley Peters, age 73 of Marion, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2025.
Joe was born May 17, 1951 in Kenton, the son of Frances Joseph and Ruth (Miley) Peters. He was educated in Marion and after graduation from high school he attended both Marion Technical College and the Ohio State University. Joe was retired from Meijer's Bakery. He also served Marion County from 1970-1980 working for the Ohio Department of Transportation.
Joe was united in marriage to Kathy Mary French on October 5, 2013 at the Emanuel Lutheran Church of Marion. He was a member of the Marionaires, Lions Club, Barbershop Society and the Emanuel Lutheran Church.
He is survived by siblings: Jerry Bechtel and Anne Herring; step-daughter: Angela (Derek) Ricciardi; step-grandchildren: Genevieve and Domenick Ricciardi.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Kathy Mary Peters; and siblings: Connie Louise Brown and Dennis O'Block.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at Snyder Funeral Homes, Denze
