Doris Maxine (Mickey) Boger Cover, age 96, passed away on March 7, 2025, at Primrose Assisted Living of Marion, Ohio, where she resided for the last ten years.
Maxine was born on September 5, 1928, in Ashley, Ohio to the late Mannas and Caroline Boger. Post high school Maxine worked at the Marion Power Shovel as a secretary. During her tenure at the Shovel, she met her future husband, Robert Arden Cover. They married on September 3, 1950.
For most of her career, Maxine worked as the head secretary at River Valley High School, where she, according to some teachers, ran the school for 28 years from March 1967 to June of 1995. Post retirement, Maxine still worked part-time and became a board member at the Villas of Hampton Woods in Marion. She also served on the board of Marion Children's Services.
Maxine is preceded in death by her husband, Robert, her parents and her 12 siblings.
Maxine is also survived by her son Steve (Kathy) of Columbus, Ohio and Susan Stegner (Bob) of Mission Viejo
