John R. Craycraft, age 88, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
On November 3, 1936 John was born in Portsmouth, Ohio. The son of the late Stanley and Evelyn (Schamberger) Craycraft. John graduated from Morral High School in 1954.
After high school, John proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1955-1957.
For most of his working years John worked as a service representative for Case IH. Prior to that he owned a garage with his brother Ronnie in Morral, Ohio where he also serviced the buses for Ridgedale schools. He served as a volunteer fireman for the Morral volunteer fire department in his younger years. He was an active member of the Marion' Y men's club. He arranged golf outings for the club, volunteered at the annual Christmas tree sale, and helped to build handicap ramps at homes. Over the years he served in different leadership roles for the Y men.
John was a lifelong Cleveland Browns fan, cheered always for the Ohio
